    In general, mills are devices that are used for grinding and powdering solids and mostly are used in pharmaceutical, chemical, agricultural and cosmetic industries.
    One of the advantages of this single stage crushing mill is that the mesh is interchangeable. It should be noted that the crushing speed and its efficiency depend on the size of the mesh and the moisture content of the product. As much as the mesh is finer efficiency and production capacity will decrease and as much as the mesh of mill is bigger the efficiency and capacity of the mill will increase.
    The material is crushed by the impact of the blade which is in the roller mill, frictional action causes the material to grind.
    In impact mills, such as hammer mill the direction of rotation of the rotor is in the way that durability of the hammer increases.
    The blades are positioned around the rotor in the way that they are sharpened from one side and hammered from the other side. The positions of the blades are in the way that covers the blind spots so that all of the materials are crushed.
    What is a hammer mill?
    Hammer mill is a device that is designed to split or crush solids into smaller pieces by successive hammer blows. This device is most widely known and used as grinder which is used in crushing rocks.

    Working principle
    In general, the mechanism and working principle of this machine is very simple. The hammer mill is mainly a steel drum with rotational vertical or horizon shaft or a drum that the hammer is installed on.
    Hammers can be oscillating at the intersection end or be fixed to the central rotor. As the material feeds into a funnel, the rotor rotates at high speed inside the drum. Then materials are hit by hammer bars and they are crushed through the filter in the drum at the certain size. Hammer mills that do not have filter use airflow to separate small pieces from larger ones.
    Hammer mills capacity
    The capacity of each type of mills depends on several factors but the factor that has the greatest impact on the function of these machines is consumed material. All energy consumed in the crushing chamber is released by the free swing hammers and it is to be expected that there would be a considerable difference in the effect
    of this impact on materials of different physical structure. However high speed will product better shattering effect for take care of hard rock, but there are definite limits, both from mechanical and operational standpoints, to the speed of any particular mill.
    The radial velocity of the material entering the mill has a direct effect on the amount of material that is placed between the rows of the hammer. In well-designed machines, the feed path is adjusted so that the material falls off rather than in the crushing path. Since the various factors mentioned above affect the capacity of the crusher, it is not possible to provide a comprehensive table showing the machine’s capacity for each material.
